Cubic Boron Nitride (CBN) is a superhard material whose hardness is second only to diamond. It not only has many excellent characteristics of diamond, but also has higher thermal stability and chemical inertness to iron group metals and their alloys.
SCGN series solid CBN inserts have a 7 °cutting edge rake angle, which reduces the friction between the flank face and the machining surface, and cooperates with the rake angle to adjust the sharpness and firmness of the cutting part of the tool, enhance the edge strength and improve the cutting of the inserts performance.
The RCGX series Solid CBN insert is a CBN insert developed and produced exclusively by our company. It adopts a 120 °cone positioning to tightly fix the insert and the cutter body to complete the cutting of difficult-to-machine material workpieces. The service life is 5-10 times longer than that of carbide tools and ceramic tools.
The shape of the WNGN series solid CBN insert is 80 °hexagon, which has higher hardness, wear resistance and heat resistance than cemented carbide and ceramic tools. Can use high cutting speed and high hardness (HS58-68) cold hard cast iron, the cutting effect is significantly higher than the use of other materials tools.
SCGN0904 and SCGN1204 CBN inserts show better machining results in the machining of automotive brake discs. They can be roughing and finishing the end faces, outer circles and inner holes of brake discs. Cutting depth ap = 0.2mm, linear speed Vc = 1000m / min, feed amount f = 0.1mm / r.
TNGN series cubic boron nitride inserts have a stable regular triangle shape with superior cutting performance and are suitable for high-speed dry cutting. The SN series solid CBN inserts (referred to as CBN blades) are square in shape, and there are many models and specifications. Under the high temperature and high pressure of the six-sided top hydraulic press, it is sintered and synthesized, which has strong wear resistance, heat resistance and chemical stability. It can efficiently turn cast iron brake discs, cast iron brake drums, boron cast iron cylinder liners, cast iron clutch pressure discs and other automotive parts to realizing turning instead of grinding. SN series CBN inserts are matched with 45 °, 75 °, 83 ° and other external turning tool holders. There are three types of R, L and N.
When processing hardened steel with PCBN tools, the quenching hardness of the workpiece is required to be higher than 45~55HRC. When processing hard cast iron, as long as the hardness reaches the medium hardness level (45HRC), good processing results will be achieved. For example, the exhaust valve seat on the cylinder head of an automobile engine is made of high chromium alloy cast iron material containing copper and molybdenum, and its hardness is generally about 44HRC
